How does the process work?
A photo is scanned into the computer then placed on a digital canvas. The artwork is then painted over the scanned image, brush stroke by brush stroke, until the entire artwork is recreated to a new painting. Once completed, the painting is transferred to a canvas, where a protective coating is added to the artwork. The canvas can be delivered either rolled or, at an additional cost, stretched and mounted and ready for framing.

Will my photo be damaged or altered?
No, we take great care in handling your photo. It will be returned to you as it was received.

Can I email you the photo?
Yes you may send it by email in a digital format or regular mail. Try to send the largest digital file you can, up to a 5 mg limit. Please send the digital photos in a .jpg format.

Do your paintings look like actual oil paintings?
Yes, they do. They have the texture and brush strokes of traditional oil paintings. Even though the process uses computer software, the artist actually paints your picture one stroke at a time with a stylus instead of a brush.

Do you use real paint in your paintings?
Often after the painting is printed, we will go over it highlighting areas with real acrylic paint.

How do I get a copyright release from another photographer's photograph?
Most photographers will be agreeable to provide a limited release. If you have questions about this or the photographer has concerns about the intended use of their photo, please have them contact us directly and we'll be glad to assist you.
